Hemant Singh
Pehel got to know about Hemant through a PE teacher at Jesica's school. Hemant was formerly an athlete who was living his life normally when he found his world turned upside down.
He had been ignoring the symptoms, and the doctors diagnosis turned out to be his worst nightmare. His kidneys had failed and his condition could get critical, fast. Tests, hospital visits and several dialysis later, a kidney transplant was needed and his wife agreed to be the donor.
The cost was prohibitive and they needed help. Although he had raised some of the funds required, there was still a big gap. Pehel through its stalls helped raise the balance money that they required.
Free cataract operations

Final year in school an emotional one. Students have spent most of their growing years in school and it is their second home and a farewell event is an important one.
This format of the farewell was primarily Jesica's brainchild - a Cyclothon was organized for the karamcharis or the cleaning staff of the school with a dental and eye camp.
When the tests indicated that 3 karamcharis or workers required cataract operations (which they could not afford) , Pehel swung into action and helped by raising money through stalls as well as approached the right channels to get subsidized treatment for them.
